Change is not new in Heather’s book. Graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2010, Heather’s background started with her sights on a meteorology degree but found broadcast journalism to be a better fit. There was a big push from the journalism department to incorporate more media elements into journalistic work. She got her first taste of multimedia through her interactive multimedia and video editing classes.
After graduating, Heather found that even though being a reporter would be fun, having multimedia skills would not just make her more marketable but also give her a chance to create art for an online audience.
Heather started her internship with One Ear Productions with plans to one day become a designer herself. She is already learning a lot from Brit from helping with projects and listens to the advice Brit gives her. In the meantime, Heather is taking web design courses at a local community college to help expand her knowledge of web design and multimedia to help better prepare her for the future.
In Heather’s spare time, she’s developing her interest of nature and weather photography and still maintains her fascination for the weather.
